A new, and very colorful, contest is running rampant over the web, TravelSupermarket.com created the Capture the Colour contest. It’s simple, there are 5 colors, you choose five memorable photos to represent each. Piece of cake.

Whoa. Not that easy. If you are anything like me, you will be sifting through thousands of photos, reminiscing along the way.

Many thanks to John at Travel Rinse Repeat and Elle over at Veni Vidi Vici for nominating me to participate in the contest. It’s nice to not be the lonely kid on the playground anymore. And I hope you both win Ipads, I hope I win one too.

Blue
Look to the left and see the Mayan Ruins of Tulum in Mexico, look to the right and witness some of the bluest waters in the World. I suffered dizziness from shaking my head in every direction to capture the stunning scenery. The margarita didn’t help.

Green
One of the most memorable and picturesque meals I’ve had while traveling was this roasted bone marrow & parsley salad at St. Johns Bar & Restaurant in London. Spread like butter.

Yellow
The colorful dancers at this Hawaiian luau, left me envious. I want to wear a petal skirt, shake yellow flowers and wear a lei. At least they left me with dozens of photographic opportunities. And the Maui sky wasn’t too shabby of a backdrop.

Red
I woke up way to early to see the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace in London, but every photo taken says it was the right decision. My favorite picture being this one with the regimental mascot, an Irish Wolfhound.

White
After being bit by an ostrich at the Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch in Arizona, this donkey smiled at me and made it all better. True story.

(His teeth might have fit under the yellow category too.)

Which photo is your favorite?

Now I get to nominate 5 fellow bloggers to keep the ball rolling:
